We Created Ourselves Belarus Volha Hrytsuk The book is about Alyaksey Hrytsuk, a leader of the Belarusian community in Canada after World War II. Wife Volha Hrytsuk portrays the man who found himself in exile but did not give up his Belarusian identity. The book includes recollections of people who knew Ales Hrytsuk, people who met him once or twice, those who were by his side throughout his life or went hand in hand for quite a long time. Hrytsuk's character is vividly depicted in recollections of his friends and people who knew him. This allows the reader to learn more about the life of Belarusians abroad and turn one more page in the history of the Belarusian people.
