The collection includes poems by two different authors. They differ in style, in experience and in outlook (women always perceive the world from a different perspective than men). Life is so complicated that it is impossible to make sense of it without humor. Why the two poets were published under one cover? Kresavyaki is a word used to describe the residents of eastern Rzeczpospolita. They seem to be Polish, but they have more of Belarusian identity. The collection published as part of the Vozhyk satirical magazine library series is full of humor. Some poems are sarcastic, some are critical and some have a spirit of dramatic irony. The authors are not trying to mock anyone as if they are the smartest and faultless. They expose ills of society and hint at possible remedies. They do not ridicule anyone, but offer advice in a way the father or the mother would do. The poems are very topical for out time. Read the book if you doubt this is possible. (N.H)
