This album presents the winning works of the third Belarus Press Photo competition. In 2011 we received more than 2 500 entries from 90 Belarusian press photographers working for both state-owned and independent media. We have picked the best works in eight categories: “News”, “People in the News”, “Daily life”, “Sports”, “Portrait”, “Arts and Entertainment”, “Nature”, and “Traditions”. Belarus Press Photo emerged in 2009 as the initiative of professional Belarusian photo reporters. During three years of its existence the winning works have been shown in numerous exhibitions, both at home (in Minsk, Hrodna and Brest) and abroad (in Moscow, Kyiv, Lviv, Krakow, Warsaw and other locations). The last year has seen a multimedia competition launched in addition to the main one. You may find the winning works on our website in the “Winners” section.
