The Rise and Fall of a Journalist is a collection of lectures read by the author at European Humanities University. The author says that a whole new generation of journalists that rose in the last few years is not familiar with works of its predecessors. He sought to work out a unique training program for journalists based on an analysis of works by prominent journalists from Belarus, Russia, Germany, the United States, France, the Czech Republic and other countries. The vigorous development of the electronic media made the main component of journalism, the text, secondary to mechanical skills that anyone can learn. (Z.K.)
