The Niva weekly published by the Belarusian community in Poland holds annual literary contests for three age groups: children, youths and adults. A collection of selected works is usually published as a result. The collection features poems by beginners and versed writers. You will never find there something that was published before, nor you will find there works by professional authors or members of literary associations. The contest is for amateurs, although some pieces are as good as created by professionals. The collection Hear Words Again is a result of the 3rd Belarusian poetry and prose contest. It features new authors and those who participated in the first and second contests, but keep on writing and creating new Belarusian literature. (N.H.)
