Академик М. А. Ельяшевич: Воспоминания учеников и современников, избранные статьи

Belarusian scientists marked in 2008 the 100th birthday of prominent Belarusian physicist Mikhail Yelyashevich. The man dedicated his whole life to science, conducting research into atomic and molecular spectrography, plasma physics, radioactive gas dynamics and history of physics. His fruitful and consistent work gave an impetus to award-winning research and development. During the second congress of Belarusian physicists, his former students and colleagues agreed to publish their recollections about their teacher and associate. The book includes speeches made at a symposium dedicated to Yelyashevich and some of his research papers. The publication testifies to the continuity of the physics school in Belarus and proves that a link between generations helps to evolve and make progress. (Z.K.)
