Review Human rights in Belarus in 1998

Human Rights Protection Centre «Viasna-96» is a non-governmental, non-profit public organisation founded in April 1996 during the massed actions of protest against the dictatorship in the country. The main aims of «Viasna-96» are to support victims of political repressions, provide them with material help in the places of their imprisonment, moral and material support and help to the political imprisoners'families. Since January 1998 our Centre has published bulletin «The Right of Freedom» in the Belarusian, Russian and English languages.The information about human rights violations are also distributed in the form of pressreleases.
