18-19th Century Belarusian Literature Khaustovich Mikola, compiler and commentator This is a reading book for philology students in Belarus and abroad. The reading book includes works by prominent and anonymous 18th-19th century authors included in the new Belarusian literature history course. The writers include Ihnat Khodzka, Yulyan Ursyn Nyamtsevich and Matsey Radzivil among others. Belarusian literature is defined in the new course as works written by Belarusians about Belarusians and Belarus and intended for Belarusian readers in the first place. The collection includes works released in the 18th and 19th centuries belonging to new literature. The works are accompanied by notes, comments and the authors’ brief biographies.
