The fourth chronicle by Anatol Kazlovich is notable for its sincerity and personal feelings of the author. The four books The Belarusians between Heaven and Earth contain factual material about the most complicated period in Belarus in the late 20th and the early 21st century, when the country gained independence. The well-known essay Trasyanka raises concern about the endangered Belarusian language. The Green Boy - poems in four languages - shows the author from a different perspective. In an article about friend Yauheniya Yanishchyts, the author expresses deep regret about the early death of the poetess. Readers will find every peace interesting. Kazlovich’s works make readers reflect on issues they often do not notice deliberately or subconsciously. While reading Kazlovich’s articles everyone of us can stop for a moment and look back to assess what we had done for Belarus to be Belarus not in the name only. (Z.K.)
