The cult of the mother of Jesus played an important role in eastern rites. The mother of Jesus was an intermediary and consoler. The mother of Jesus guided and helped people. The icons of the mother of Jesus were revered, adored and glorified. The Grand Duchy of Lithuania was an exception in European culture because of the widespread cult of Virgin Mary. The book tells the story of the icon of the Mother of Jesus in the village of Kupyatsichy.
