The collection features material of the Second International Congress of Belarusists held in Minsk in May 1995. The conference covered a broad range on topics, including historic and cultural relations, education, language and literature. Belarus' location between East and West reflected on its history and relations with its neighbors and other nations. The conference included international round-table discussions. Many interesting and general issues were raised at meetings of the Belarusian-Latvian, Belarusian-Lithuanian, Belarusian-Polish, Belarusian-Russian and Belarusian-Ukrainian groups.
