Without any doubt 2001 was the most active year in the history of the Alfred Mozer Foundation. The fact that the annual budget had been enlarged, made it possible to have many extra projects in 2001 and also to realise our long-felt wish to publish a manual for our trainers and to make it available for our partners in Central and Eastern Europe. In our activities we continued our policy to concentrate activities on the countries in South-Eastern and Eastem-Europe, while transforming our relationship with the partners in Central Europe. We aimed at stimulating more bilateral and regional activities, in which the Central-European foundations play a key-role as organisers and source of experience for Eastern European partners. Especially with the Polish Foundation for European Education we have established a fruitful relationship in this respect. Jointly we undertook trainings in Ukraine and Belarus. Also trainers from Poland, Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia, The Russian Federation and Serbia have been involved in AMS-trainings. The involvement, experience and contacts from within the region has been much appreciated by the different participants, counterparts and the organisers themselves. It has given an additional value to our work. (Preface, fragment)
