BSIFC has extended its field base in the following years. New hall of residences, pool, sport centers were built. New building along Pobediteley avenue was constructed in 1983. For sport lessons and leisure activities of students and teachers there are track and field stadiums, gymnasium, playing grounds, football ground, tennis courts in the institute as well as sports and recreational centre on the beach of Driviaty lake — one of the most beautiful places of the Republic of Belarus. The Academy of physical culture was established in April, 1992 on the basis of Belarusian national Red Banner of Labour of the institute of physical culture. It was renamed in Belarusian State Academy of Physical Culture in March, 2001
