The Tip-top Fly is a book about teenagers for teenagers. It features stories and drawings by young authors Olya Kalina and Natalka Kandratsyuk-Svyarubskaya published in Niva, a weekly printed by ethnic Belarusians in Poland. "We arranged with the editor of modernistic Zorka [a Niva supplement] to write and draw stories about modern high-school students," says Kandratsyuk-Svyarubskaya in the introduction. "In the Tiptop Fly column, we tried to present the 2006/2007 school year – our problems with parents, the first love and frustrations -- in the form of stories and drawings." The book runs short stories and cartoons.
