It is a pleasure for me to be here today and to have the privilege of spending a few moments examining with you the different European press distribution systems. I would like to thank the FIEJ for giving me this opportunity. Press distribution in Europe is of interest to all of us who are involved in any way with it - whether as publishers - wholesalers, retailers or professional associations. It is actually a professional association, DISTRIPRESS, which I have the honour of representing here today. DISTRIPRESS is international, however press distribution in Europe is of considerable interest to us as more than half our member companies are located in the European Union countries. (fragment)
