We collect and distribute information about conflicts and violations of the rights of journalists and the press in Russia and the countries of the CIS; We publish books and special bulletins; We conduct seminars for journalists who work in extreme situations; We are ready to work in cooperation with anyone, who wants to live in a free and informed society. The Center for Journalism in Extreme Situations was created in February 2000 as a human-rights organization within the Union of Journalists of Russia.
