A book with such a beautiful title is a result of collaboration between teaches and pupils obsessed with the idea of discovering mysteries of the past with the help of old people living on the two sides of the Bialowieza forest. Edited by Natallya Herasimyuk, coordinator of the project, Polish-Belarusian book features myths and legends concerning the names of villages and estates. The book consists of two sections, one in Polish and the other in Belarusian. Each section is independent rather than the continuation of narrative. Half through the book the reader will find a map of the Euroregion formed of the Kamenets, Pruzhany and Svislach districts in Belarus and Hajnawka County in Poland. The book is richly illustrated with drawings made by a non-professional artist who managed to express the mysterious spirit of the content.
