The book is a result of the international round-table discussion focusing on the art of translation. It includes presentations by participants, literature researchers and translators. Along with general and theoretical subjects, participants discussed major developments in history and methods of translation and how translations help disseminate books abroad. It is not easy to be a translator. It is really hard to translate a piece keeping the author's original style of writing and holding back one's feelings. It is not enough to thoroughly read the original to do a good job. It is essential to learn details about the author, the period when the book was created, circumstances that hampered the writer. It is easier to interpret research works, while translating poetry is the most difficult task. It takes great skills to be a good translator. This was a subject of the discussion whose participants also talked about translation methods and masterpieces. All this has been included in the book.
