Belarus: The Generation Gap The book saw the light as a result of a conference on the theme: “Belarus: Generation Gap or Belarusian Differences in Goals, Values and Strategy” organized by the Civil Society and Policy Institute and the Belarusian Center affiliated with the Ryszard Lazarski Higher Commerce and Law School in Warsaw. The generation gap is a universal issue, but it has a special importance in the Belarusian political and cultural discourse. Do young Belarusian politicians see and understand the future the same way as the older generation? What can be done to promote democracy ideals to Belarusian youth? The collection features controversial material on these and other questions raised during the conference. It helps understand the root causes of Belarus’ problems and find possible solutions. (Z.K.)
