The Institute for the Study of the USSR is a body of emigre scholars from the Soviet Union, whose aim is to furnish reliable information regarding conditions and trends in the Soviet Union. Founded in 1950, its activities are centered in Munich, Germany. Any member of the Soviet emigration, irrespective of his national origin, political affilations or place of residence, is eligible to take part in the work of the Institute provided he is not a Communist Paty member or sympathizer.
